Although this topic is still relatively unknown, it is extremely vital for at least 50% of our population! Knowledge and comprehension of the women's cycle are crucial for women in general as well as for men who are in any kind related with women.
We will talk about the following topics:
Women cycle physiology
At first we go through the physiology of women cycle, so everyone can have some overview, how does it work in general. We’ll divide the cycle into phases and so on.
Hormones
Afterwards we’ll talk about the main women hormones, their function and how do they influence all the different processes in the body.
The cycle and training
The “main part” about how does the cycle influence our training and how can we make the most out of every day of our cycle.
Metabolism/ Hydration/ Food
We’ll talk about the differences in metabolism between male and female, we’ll go through some specific hydration tips for women and why do we need to hydrate little bit differently and then something about food - we’ll talk mainly about some eating habits, which aren’t good for females and why.
Supplements & Tips
Some tips for women in sport about suplements, vitamins..
Hormonal contraception
OC - how does the pill affects our performance, what are the main risks of OC and so on
Amenorrhea & REDs syndrome
We’ll talk about Relative Energetic Defficiency in Sport- which is really common in athletic women. How to identify, if I have low energy availability and what are the consequences of not having a healthy cycle.
Menopause
Last but not least - Menopause - why are there so many changes, what happens to women’s bodies after menopause and how to train in this particular part of our lives.
